Black Vegan Man
The origin

Healer. Hybrid coach. Navy vet.

I'm DelWayne — the man behind Black Vegan Man. Here is the long version, straight.

I spent ten years in the Navy and another ten walking people back to their own bodies. Along the way I got certified in personal training, drug and alcohol counseling, and nutritional health — but those are just the receipts.

The real work started the year I went fully plant-based. Not because it was trendy. Because I could feel the stiffness, the brain fog, and the low-grade anger I had been carrying for a decade, and I wanted it gone. It took about ninety days. It has not come back.

What Black Vegan Man actually is

It is a retreat brand, a coaching practice, and a kitchen. It is a Tuesday-night phone call and a 5am cold plunge in the jungle. It is what I wish someone had handed me at 32 — before the second marriage, before the second burnout, before the bloodwork.

My motto is simple: I'm going to enjoy this life. And I'm going to help other men enjoy theirs too.

How I work with men

  • 1:1 hybrid coaching — nutrition, mindset, movement, sleep, breath. Weekly check-ins, quarterly reviews.
  • Men's retreats — 6–7 day immersions, 12–19 men, plant-based chef, jungle and ocean, brotherhood that lasts.
  • Quiet days — I don't take every client. We talk first, we see if the work fits, and I will tell you if it does not.

Who this is not for

If you want a meal plan, a supplement stack, or a guru — I am not it. If you want someone who will tell you the honest thing in the honest voice, and then walk beside you while you do the hard, slow part — we will probably get along.

The next step

Let’s see if it fits.

A 30-minute discovery call. Free, honest, no pitch. We talk, we figure out if coaching or a retreat is right — or if you should just go for a long walk instead.
